A Cat's Senses

Cat whiskers are amazing! The whiskers on a cat's face go deeper underneath the surface of their skin compared to normal cat fur.

Their whiskers contain nerves and are connected to both a cat's muscular and nervous system. This is why a cat can both move their whiskers but also use them to detect objects near their face. Yes, your cat is feeling their way around objects with the whiskers on their face… fascinating!

The eyes of a cat are also amazing.

Cats have a special pair of eyes that have some special abilities. The eyes of a cat have an enhanced ability to see in the dark.

In fact, cats have usable vision using roughly one-sixth the amount of lighting that humans need in order to see the same subject matter!
